Tennille Tatum-Evans, Esq.

J.D., Certified Mediator

Tennille is an attorney specializing in juvenile rights advocacy and family law. She has a lifelong commitment to bettering the lives of children and families through advocacy. She began her career at the Legal Aid Society, Juvenile Rights Practice representing children in foster care proceedings in New York City. In 2008 Tennille left Legal Aid Society to start a solo practice focusing on custody, child
support, and child protective cases. She also has an extensive appellate practice representing indigent clients appealing family court decisions in New York City. In her appellate practice, Tennille has successfully argued and won numerous appellate cases in the New York Appellate Division.


Tennille holds a bachelor’s degree from Florida A & M University where she graduated summa cum laude. Tennille attended New York University School of Law where she was a Dean’s Merit Scholar and a recipient of the prestigious Furman Fellowship and the BLAAPA Public Service Scholarship.
