Jimmy L. Middlebrook, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist with over 30 years clinical, academic, and corporate experience. He is passionate about developing individuals and organizations to reach their full potential.
His clinical interests include psychological assessment of emotional, behavioral, and learning problems in children with a specific interest in ADHD and LD issues. He developed summer camps for children with academic problems, social skills training programs, and has been an advocate for children and families while serving on the board of directors of various organizations. As Psychology Clinic Chief for 5 years at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, he evaluated children with developmental delays and behavioral and emotional difficulties related to medical problems.
Dr. Middlebrook has held multiple positions in academic settings including instructor, program director, and Associate Dean. His academic experience includes affiliations with the Georgia School of Professional Psychology, Georgia State University, Keller Graduate School, American Intercontinental University, Departments of Pediatrics and Psychiatry in the Emory University School of Medicine, and Walden University.
His corporate experience includes management consulting with a national consulting firm as well as providing training and development for a US defense contractor where he facilitated a week-long training program for Science Advisors affiliated with the Office of Naval Research. He has delivered consulting expertise and given over 100 training presentations in the areas of Process Improvement, Organizational Structure, Interpersonal Communication Skills, Negotiation Skills, Conflict Management, Behavioral Assessments, Leadership Development, and Employee Development.
Dr. Middlebrook received his BA degree in Psychology from Millsaps College in Jackson, MS and his MS and Ph.D. from the University of Georgia. His completed his clinical internship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Medical Center and currently resides in Florida.
