Dr. Eleni Toumarides

Dr. Eleni Toumarides is a licensed clinical social worker with over 18 years of experience working with individuals and groups in private and not-for-profit settings in clinical and administrative roles. Her specialty areas include program and staff development, supervision, and clinical skills and practices.
She owns a private group practice in NYC, where she provides psychotherapy to groups and individuals and supervises therapists and graduate school-level interns.
Dr. Toumarides has extensive experience as an administrator in the not-for-profit sector. She has served as a Program Director and has trained staff on conflict resolution, crisis intervention, and de-escalation skills. She has also trained staff on improving communication skills and achieving goals.
Dr. Toumarides received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Long Island University, a Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, Masters in Social Work, and a Ph.D. in Social Welfare from Yeshiva University. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor there and serves as a Field Liaison for the Fieldwork Department.
