Susan brings a wealth of practical, real-world, nuts and bolts instruction to every course she leads. Mixing her compassion for parties in conflict, her expertise and talent in negotiation and mediation, her high level of energy and a healthy dose of humor, Ms. Deveney is a highly sought mediation instructor in the United States.

Ms. Deveney has been a mediator and an attorney in private practice since 1997. She has acted as mediator, facilitator or neutral in thousands of cases and has a success rate of more than 97% in reaching complete agreement among disputing parties. Ms. Deveney has summa cum laude undergraduate dual degrees in Psychology and Political Science. She is a graduate of Suffolk University Law School and a graduate of the Roger Williams University Mediation Training Program.

Ms. Deveney has been a spokesperson for the Bar Association on matters of employment discrimination, has appeared on national and local television talk shows to speak about cases of notoriety in which she has been involved, and has lobbied for and received a substantial grant for developing conflict resolution programs in school grades K through 12.

As an elected official in state and local government, Ms. Deveney sponsored legislation and initiatives for the social and economic welfare of children. In addition to educational initiatives, she was responsible for obtaining funding for urban community projects. She has also demonstrated a sincere dedication to public service through her membership on public committees for finance, public works and affordable housing.

Ms. Deveney has participated in numerous speaking engagements for mental health and legal professionals. Her dynamic presentations to professional organizations are informative and inspiring.  She is always willing to take time to speak to professional groups to share her knowledge and experience.

Her determination to provide the best mediation training for every student in every class is evident in the praise and testimonials her students provide.

Cheryl Frommelt is an Advanced Divorce Mediator who has worked with Individuals, Couples and Families as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist as well as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor for 27 years. She is a member of the American Association of Mediators where she serves on the Ethics and Standards Committee.

Adam Waitkevich
CFP®, ADFA™, CDFA®, Certified QDRO Specialist™

Adam is a professionally trained divorce mediator and holds the Advanced Divorce Financial Analyst (ADFA™) & the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst™ designation (CDFA®). He is a frequent speaker on investment & divorce-related topics and regularly instructs family law professionals and aspiring divorce mediators about advanced divorce finances.


Adam is also a Certified QDRO Specialist™ (CQS™) and prepares Q(DRO's) and other Court-Orders that are required when dividing retirement accounts in divorce. Adam received his B.S. in economics from Clark University where he graduated summa cum laude and is also the President of Coppertree®, our independent financial planning firm in Westborough, MA.

Sean R. Saari

Sean is a partner in the firm's Valuation & Litigation Advisory Services group and is responsible for helping clients address their valuation, litigation support, tax, financial reporting, strategic planning and business advisory needs. He joined Skoda Minotti over 10 years ago and assists a diverse client base. He has authored more than 75 articles, e-books, blogs and white papers and is a regular speaker, both locally and nationally, on valuation, litigation support, accounting and tax issues.
